This is a planning journal with a calendar for moms who want to track their kids education in one place. The journal is for families whose children are in any format of schooling: homeschool, public education, private education, online school, charter school, alternative learning experiences, highly capable learning, kids with an IEP or a 504 plan, or any combination of those.
Mom's Vision Journal is written by a mom of 5 kids, all who are in different education settings and all who need different things to receive the best education possible. This journal is one place where a mom can write out a mission statement and educational plan, and address state requirements. It is a place where a mom can plan a budget, and it holds all the logs: field trips, absences, chores, sports, medical appointments and therapy appointments. It is also a place where moms can record their child's/children's course requirements for the year, the month, the week, and the day. It is a life saver for mom's everywhere!
There are 4 sections to this planner:
The Planning Section
The Log Section
The Course Section
The Calendar
The planning section includes pages dedicated to writing a mission statement, planning specific education per child, state requirements, and budget planning.
The log section has everything from tracking your child’s school absences to field trips to medical appointments. Most of these things are in our calendars on our phones but seeing them written out can help moms understand the impacts (both positive and negative) these can have on their children’s education.
The course section has space to write out course requirements for the year and daily assignments for the week.
The calendar section has a monthly outline and a weekly outline. The monthly outline helps planning around individual schedules, family schedules, specific school schedules, and anything else on a calendar that con conflict with your children’s academic routine.
The weekly calendar gives parents and kids a much more specific outline of what is due when and what needs to be done on any specific week so that the child does not fall behind.
